Momento is designed with privacy as a core principle. We believe your photos are deeply personal, and you should have complete control over them. That's why Momento processes everything locally on your device—your photos never leave your iPhone.

Data We Collect

Photo Data

Your photos are processed entirely on your device using Apple's CoreML framework. The AI models run locally, and the resulting search indexes are stored only in your device's local storage. No images, thumbnails, or visual data are ever transmitted over the internet.

Search Queries

Your search queries are processed locally on your device. We do not log, track, or transmit what you search for.

Usage Analytics

Momento does not include any third-party analytics SDKs. We do not track how you use the app, which features you access, or any behavioral data.

Purchase Information

If you subscribe to Momento Pro, your purchase is processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or personal details. Apple handles all billing and subscription management.

Data Storage

Momento stores the following data locally on your device:

• AI-generated embeddings (numerical representations) of your photos for search functionality
• Your app preferences and settings
• Cached thumbnails for faster display

All this data is stored in your device's sandboxed app storage and is removed when you delete the app. You can also manually wipe all indexed data from within the app's Settings.

Third-Party Services

Momento uses the following third-party services:

• Apple StoreKit: For processing in-app purchases and subscriptions. See Apple's privacy policy for details.
• Apple Photos Framework: To access your photo library with your permission. Photos are only accessed locally.

Permissions

Momento requests the following permissions:

• Photo Library Access: Required to scan and search your photos. Photos are only processed locally on your device.

Momento does not request network, location, microphone, camera, or any other permissions.

Children's Privacy

Momento does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app is safe for users of all ages.
