How does Momento protect my privacy?▼
Momento processes all photos entirely on your device using Apple's Neural Engine. Your photos never leave your iPhone, and we don't collect any personal data. The app works completely offline after initial setup.
Why is indexing taking so long?▼
Indexing speed depends on your photo library size and iPhone model. The app processes each photo through an AI model to understand its content. For large libraries (10,000+ photos), initial indexing may take 15-30 minutes. The app will continue indexing in the background, and you can search already-indexed photos while it works.
What's the difference between the AI models?▼
Momento offers four AI models with different speed/accuracy tradeoffs:
- Fast & Light: Quickest to index, good for most searches, lowest battery use
- Balanced: Better understanding of complex scenes
- High Accuracy: Precise object recognition for specific items
- Professional: Maximum semantic accuracy for power users
Why can't I search all my photos?▼
The free version of Momento allows you to search photos from the last 12 months. To search your entire photo library, upgrade to Momento Pro. You can do this from within the app or from the banner at the top of the search screen.
How do I restore my Pro purchase?▼
Go to Settings (gear icon) → tap "Restore Purchases". This will sync your subscription status with the App Store. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase.
How do I cancel my subscription?▼
Subscriptions are managed through Apple. To cancel:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone
- Tap your name at the top
- Tap "Subscriptions"
- Find Momento and tap "Cancel Subscription"
Can I delete my indexed data?▼
Yes! Go to Settings (gear icon) → scroll to the Storage section → tap "Wipe Indexed Data". This will delete all indexed photo data. Note that you'll need to re-index your photos to use search again.
